May activities plentiful at county extension
The month of May brings high school and college graduation, confirmation, Mothers Day, the end of the school year, planting of crops and gardens and so much more.
Here in our office, May brings with it many activities as well.
Annually, May 1 marks the livestock identification form deadline which tells us the animals that 4-H and FFA members have identified as possible fair exhibits. By the looks of things, we will see a great array of livestock projects again this year at the Emmet County Fair.
Marcy Sander, our youth coordinator along with county council members, Matt Anderson and Graye Farnum led a session at the ELC eighth-grade outdoor classroom on May 1.
The week of May 5, finds us involved in the EPAK (Educational Partners- Agriculture and Kids) that covers all fifth-graders here in Emmet County as well as those is Palo Alto, Kossuth and Pocahontas counties.
