Knights come up big

ARMSTRONG - Graettinger/Terril came out as the overall winner in a triangular at Armstrong on Thursday.

The Knights defeated Woden-Crystal Lake-Titonka -1 by scores of 25-12, 13-25, 25-13, 25-10 and then beat the host Mustangs in the nightcap 25-16, 25-19, 25-19

The first match saw the Mustangs win over WCLT by taking the first, fourth and fifth games against the Tigers.

Scores were unavailable at press time.

In the Knights win over WCLT, Theresa Petersen had 13 kills while Lindsey Flaharty had 20 set assists. Leah Flaharty had five blocks and 19 digs.

Against A-R, Petersen again reached double digits in kills with 10 while Lindsey Flaharty had 17 set assists.

Tasha Neilson and lindsay Flaharty each had one block.

Leah Flaharty had nine digs.

In A-R's first match, Megan Sanders led the Mustangs with 11 kills and nine digs. Tess Christiansen had eight set assists.

Carrie Sorensen had eight blocks.

Stats for the Mustangs game against G/T were unavailable.

A-R travels to the North Iowa Tournament on Saturday.

Graettinger/Terril is at the Clay Central-Everly Tournament on Saturday.
