Dallas Paul Moffitt

A memorial service for Dallas Paul Moffitt, 39, of Trimont, Minn., and formerly Estherville, was held Saturday, May 16, at First Presbyterian Church in Estherville with Pastor Mark Gabbard officiating.

He died Tuesday, May 12, after a motor vehicle accident near Miles City, Mont.

Dallas Paul Moffitt, the son of Paul and Shirley (Julius) Moffitt, was born July 12, 1969, in Estherville.

Dallas received his education in the Estherville schools, graduating from Estherville High School in 1987.

On April 24, 1998, Dallas was united in marriage to Kris Burton. After their marriage the couple made their home in Trimont, Minn. Dallas was employed with Gaalswyck Trucking for the past 15 years.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Estherville. Dallas enjoyed sports, music, movies and especially his dog, Pepe.

Left to cherish Dallas' life is his wife, Kris; step-children, Karissa and Brock; parents, Paul and Shirley Moffitt; brothers and sisters, Chad Moffitt and his wife, Dawn, and their child, Brock; Matt Moffitt; Lacey Baldwin and her husband, Jesse; Patrick Moffitt and Chesley Moffitt; mother and father-in-law, Bev and Dave Peterson, and also many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
