ARMSTRONG - After a several-month hiatus, Armstrong is getting a new grocery store starting Thursday, Oct. 15.

Armstrong natives Eric and Brad Eisenbacher are opening THE mARket in the former Kasson Drug location at 503 Sixth St. They'll be assisted in the operation by their sister, Corinna Hargrove, who will be doing most of the meat cutting.

THE mARket, obviously named in honor of Armstrong-Ringsted Schools, features all natural meat from Heartland Meats, Midwest raised and all natural.

There's also a full complement of canned goods, cleaning supplies and baby items. Customers will also find a cooler and freezer section that offers TV dinners, pot pies and other frozen items. Customers can also choose from a great selection of greeting cards and health and beauty aids.

One special feature is going to be Armstrong-Ringsted apparel, including T-shirts and later sweatshirts.

THE mARket is open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday. The phone is 712-868-4848.
