The Estherville Swim Team for youth held its first meet against Emmetsburg last Friday.

Estherville results are as follows:

Ages 8 and under

Jaydan Nitchals placed 16th in the 25-yard freestyle in 43.82 seconds and 10th in the 25-yard backstroke in 39.49.

Nicholas Leonard placed 12th in the 25-yard freestyle in 42.48, 12th in the 50-yard backstroke 1:28.2 and 1st in the 25-yard breaststroke in 42.27.

Izaak Sander placed seventh in the 25-yard freestyle in 31.96, 3rd in the 25-yard backstroke in 36.08 and 3rd in the 25-yard breaststroke in 1:10.4.

Mya Gjerde placed fourth in the 25-yard freestyle in 23.86, second in the 50-yard backstroke in 1:18.6 and seventh in the 25-yard back stroke in 32.03.

Ages 9-10

Kirsten Natterstad placed 13th in the 25-yard freestyle in 49.23, 10th in the 50-yard backstroke 1:07.6 and eighth in the 50-yard breaststroke 1:09.6.

Ages 11-12

Sara Lambert placed 16th in the 50-yard freestyle 56.23, ninth in the 50-yard backstroke 1:08.7 and 13th in the 50-yard breaststroke 1:20.3.

Nicole Sherer placed 11th in the 50-yard freestyle 40.11, eighth in the 50-yard backstroke in 56.81 and 11th in the 50-yard breaststroke in 1:01.2.

Ages 13-14

Levi Jensen placed first in both the 50-yard and 100-yard freestyle events in 29.06 and 1:08.6 respectively.

Participants are still welcome and can join at the Regional Wellness Center.
