Team Seylar, yeah!

April 14, 2011
By Michael Tidemann - Staff Writer , Estherville Daily News

Melisa Regelstad and Jen Gesch had a big surprise for their children's kindergarten teacher, Deb Seylar, and Seylar's class Wednesday.

Regelstad and Gesch worked with Cindy Moore to have Team Seylar T-shirts made up for Seylar's entire kindergarten class. Regeltsad's daughter, Emily, and Gesch's son, Griffin, are both in the class. Seylar travels for cancer chemo treatments each Friday.

Right after she and the class put on their T-shirts, Seylar sat down with them, and reminding the students about her Friday treatments, told them that if everyone wore their T-shirts every Friday, that while they were in different places they would still be together.

"You guys don't know how much this helps," Seylar told her kindergartners.
