Mona E. Sanders, age 81 of Rhinebeck, N.Y., formerly of Navaho Trail, Hopkinsville, KY passed away 10:30 p.m. Saturday, October 29, 2011 at her son's home in Rhinebeck, NY of natural causes. Private services will be at a later date. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home in Hopkinsville, Ky. is in charge of arrangements.
Mona was born March 9, 1930 in Rodman, Iowa, the daughter of the late Lloyd and Hazel Carr McClelland. She a member of First United Methodist Church and she was a homemaker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jay L. Sanders.
Survivors include her sons, Leon Sanders of Rhinebeck, N.Y., Edward Sanders of Fountain, Fla., and Bob R. Sanders of Cleves, Ohio; her daughter, Carol Oberg of McHenry, Ill.; her sisters, Geneva Nelson, Irene Foster, Iva Boggess, and Roxie Stevens, all of Estherville; 16 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.
