Harriet May Hinrichs, 99, died Dec. 23, 2011 at Pathstone Way, Mankato Minn.
Funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Friday, Dec. 30, 2011 at the First Presbyterian Church, Mankato. Visitation will be one hour before service at church on Friday. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m., Friday afternoon at Oak Hill Cemetery, Estherville. Landkamer Johnson-Boman Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
Harriet May Osher was born on Aug. 8, 1912 in Estherville to Dr. and Mrs. B. T. Osher. She graduated from Estherville High School in 1930 and attended the Oberlin Conservatory of Music in Oberlin, Ohio. She graduated from Estherville Junior College in 1933. Harriet married Wilbert F. Hinrichs at the First Presbyterian Church in Estherville on April 11, 1937, and the couple settled in Mankato.

Harriet was active in the First Presbyterian Church of Mankato, the YWCA Board, Tourist Club, The Katonian Dance Club, the Mankato Symphony Guild, the League of Women Voters, and the Thrift Shop Rehabilitation Board. She was an election judge for several years.
Harriet is survived by two daughters, Louise Hinrichs Carlson (Robert) and Margaret Ellen Hanson (Ryan); four grandchildren, Ingrid Carlson, Eric Carlson, Stephen Hanson (Rebecca), and Timothy Hanson (Katherine), and six great-grandchildren, Jeremy and Erika Tausch, Ava and Nicolas Hanson, and Olivia and Colin Hanson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert, her parents, her brother, Dr. J.B. Osher, and her sister, Helen Osher.
