EMMETSBURG - A 9-0 run by Spirit Lake in the third quarter was enough to help Spirit Lake secure a 36-32 win over Emmetsburg on Friday.
Spirit Lake jumped out to a 12-4 lead, but the E'Hawks rallied to tie the game at 16-16.
Spirit Lake struggled from 3-point range, making just 1-of-16 attempts. KJ Veldman led the Indians with a game-high 21 points.
Spirit Lake coach Rick Reinking said his team should eventually get out of its shooting slump.
"The biggest story is a win on senior night and that's what we're happy with," said Reinking.
Alissa Christoffer had seven points while Berkland had four. Vale and Mercer each had two points. Veldman had a team-high eight steals, seven rebounds and three assists.
It was the final home game for seniors Whitney Berkland, Emily Mercer and Cara Vale.
Spirit Lake (15-5 overall, 8-4 in the Lakes Conference) ends the regular season at Spencer this evening.
