EMMETSBURG - After jumping out to a 19-11 first-quarter lead, Spirit Lake's offense struggled to score against Emmetsburg as the E'Hawks won 57-46 on Friday.
The Indians scored just two points in the second quarter, but still led 21-19 at the break. Emmetsburg scored 19 points in each of the final two periods and led 38-34 to start the final period.
Sawyer Harms led the Indians with 16 points while Paul Brown finished with 11 points and four assists. Adam Dau had nine points and seven rebounds wile Wes Bergquist had four points and Alex Dau and Alec Henrickson each had three.
Jake Jackson led Emmetsburg with 28 points, six rebounds and four steals.
Spirit Lake (11-7 overall, 7-5 in the Lakes Conference) travels to Spencer this evening.
