ARMSTRONG - Funeral services for Jeannine Madden, 82, of Estherville will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 3, 2012, at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Armstrong with Pastor Suzanne Wobig officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Henry-Olson Funeral Chapel in Armstrong. Interment will be at Armstrong Grove Cemetery.
She died Sunday, April 29, 2012, at Rosewood Manor in Estherville.
Jeannine Delores (Steinberg) Madden, the daughter of Frank and Nina (McNeill) Steinberg, was born Aug. 22, 1929, in Iroquois, S.D.
She received her education in Estherville schools, graduating from Estherville High School.
On Nov. 12, 1950, she was united in marriage to Lloyd Madden in Fairmont, Minn. After their marriage, the couple farmed at the family farm at Halfa until 1981 when they moved to their current farm near Armstrong. Jeannine helped Lloyd with the farming and also sold Avon for several years. She has been a resident of Rosewood Manor since November of 2006.
Jeannine was a member of the Armstrong Presbyterian Church.
Left to cherish Jeannine's memory is her husband, Lloyd, of Armstrong; and children, Jim Madden and his wife, Vicki, of Armstrong and Sue Friesner and her husband, Steve, of Estherville. Also surviving are grandchildren, Jason (JoEllyn) Madden and their children, Gage, Grady and Kade; Jeremy (Kris) Madden and their children, Brielle and Cameron; Matt (Jennifer) Madden; Sarah (Jason) Kollasch and their children, Luke and Kora; and Brad Friesner and special friend, Kim Paplow, and their child, Bristol and sister, Doris Marquardt, of Welcome, Minn.
