FORT DODGE - Iowa Lakes dropped three games to Iowa Central over the weekend with rain postponing a fourth game on Sunday.
On Saturday, the Tritons swept the Lakers 12-2 and then 5-4 in nine innings.
On Sunday, Iowa Central took the first game 10-3 and led 4-3 when rain halted play midway through the third inning. The game was continued on Monday, but results weren't available at press time.
In game one Saturday, Iowa Central jumped ahead with a six-run second inning.
Gunner Johnson took the loss for Iowa Lakes.
The Lakers managed just four hits compared to nine by the Tritons.
For the Lakers, Josh Jesko was 1-2 with a double, Josian Correa was 1-2 and Anthony Sewart and Ryan O'Melia each went 1-3 with an RBI.
Iowa Lakes took an early 3-0 lead in the first inning of game two then watched the Tritons tie the game at apiece in the bottom of the seventh before scoring the game-winning run in the night.
Iowa Lakes had eight hits with the Tritons recording 12 hits.
Jose Osorio took the loss for Iowa Lakes.
At the plate, Edwin Torres was 2-5 with an RBI, Leonardo Ramirez was 2-4 and Danny Cruz, Alcides Fuguet and Edwin Dominguez each went 1-3.
In Sunday's 10-3, Bryan Lopez took the loss for Iowa Lakes. Only four of the Tritons runs were earned.
At the plate, Jesko Correa and Stewart each had a double.
The Lakers (21-22 overall) travel to Rosemount, Minn., today to play Dakota County Technical College before hosting Minnesota West today.
