Allie Sievert was the only Estherville Lincoln Central athlete competing during the second day of the Class 2A State Track and Field Meet on Friday. Sievert, cleared 4 feet, 8 inches and tied for 22nd place overall. ELC coach Tina Burton said Sievert was disappointed with her performances. A year ago, she earned a sixth-place medal with a leap of 5 feet. In Class 2A this year, the eight medalists all jumped at least 5 feet, 2 inches with the winner jumping 5 feet, 7 inches. The ELC girls track team wraps up the state meet today with the sprint medley at 9 a.m. That quartet consists of Megan Karels, Sara Heywood, Casey Sievert and Emily Kirchner. The ELC boys track team also has one event today. Senior Alex Blomquist will compete in the 800-meter run at 10:30 p.m.
