SWEA CITY - The North Union Softball team came up with two 12-run victories over Corwith-Wesley-Luverne on Friday, defeating the Panthers by scores of 14-1 and 12-0.
The Warriors pounded out 11 hits in game one. Cheyanne Boland was 2-2. Collete Haag was 2-3. Dena Looft went 2-3 and Allie Ingalls was 1-2 with a solo home run.
Harley Lindell was 1-2 with a home run and two RBIs while Sara Johnson was 1-3 with three RBIs.
Also Jasmine Clausen was 1-1.
Haag pitched for the Warriors, giving up one unearned run on one hit with six strikeouts and one walk.
North Union's bats stayed hot in the second game with 10 more hits.
Haag again earned the win on the mound, pitching a no-hitter while striking out four batters.
At the plate, Boland 2as 2-3 with an RBI, Lindell was 2-3 with two doubles and three RBIs. Sara Johnson was 2-2 with a double and two RBIs.
Also, Tori Johnson was 1-2 with an RBI, Looft was 1-2, Ingalls was 1-3 and Haag was 1-3.
On Thursday, North Union defeated North Iowa 13-0 in four innings.
Ingalls struck out eight batters while giving up a pair of hits.
The Warriors had 11 hits led by Bolan who went 2-4 with two RBIs and three stolen bases. Haag was 2-3 with three RBIs and Clausen was 2-e with an RBI. Also Tori Johnson was 1-2 with two RBIs, Sara Johnson was 1-2 and Ingalls, Looft and Taylor Mathine each went 1-3. Looft had two RBIs and Ingalls had one.
On Wednesday, North Union defeated Forest City 17-1 in six innings.
Ingalls was on the mound where she gave up one earned run on three hits with one walk and no strikeouts.
Haag was 4-5 with a home run and five RBIs. Lindell was 1-3 with a home run and Looft was 3-4 with a home run and three RBIs. Also Sara Johnson was 3-4.
North Union (7-0 overall) is at the Estherville Lincoln Central Softball Classic today when the Warriors take on the host Midgets at 11:15 a.m.
