Kristen King led off the bottom of the first with a single and Macy Dahl laid down a sacrifice bunt. Emily Kirchner then hit a ball to center field that was dropped allowing King to score. Kendall Bosch then singled. Kirchner then scored on a two-out single by Taylor Lago. A single by Megan Jensen brought home Carson Gjerde, who was running for Bosch. Lago scored on a passed ball as ELC took a 4-0 lead.

In the second inning, Kellie Christensen and King both reached on Indian errors. A double steal advanced the runners and Kirchner's bunt single scored one.

Kirchner went to second on the play as no one was covering the base. Bosch then singled to bring home King and Kirchner.

Spirit Lake finally got on the board in the third inning. Carly Ites led off with a single. Two outs later, leadoff batter Amanda Bueltel doubled to score the run.

ELC left runners stranded on second and third in the third inning.

But Kirchner opened the fourth with a home run to center field.

After a single by Bosch, Spirit Lake starting pitcher was done for the night. Bailee Newman stepped in and ELC kept the bats going. Christina Tendal singled and a double by Lago brought in two runs. Lago went to third on a passed ball and scored on a single by Caitlyn Clayton as ELC wrapped up its scoring for the evening.

Meanwhile, Spirit Lake got a two-out single from Heyley Roberts, but Bosch ended the game with her 11th strikeout.

Kirchner finished the game 3-3 with three RBIs. Bosch was 3-3 with two RBIs. Lago was 2-3 with two RBIs. King, Tendal, Jensen and Clayton all were 1-3. Christensen was 1-2.

Vale took the loss having given up nine hits with four strikeouts. Newman gave up three hits and had one walk with one strikeout.

At the plate, Emily Mercer, Vale, Ites and Roberts all went 1-2 while Bueltel was 1-3.
