Top-ranked Warriors keep wins coming

EVERLY - North Union had little trouble with Clay Central-Everly as the Warriors swept the Mavericks 15-1 in three innings and 13-0 in three innings.

Collete Haag earned the win in game one and gave up one earned run on one hit with three strikeouts.

At the plate, North Union had 11 hits. Tori Johnson was 2-3 with three RBIs, Haag was 2-3 with a double and Taylor Mathine was 2-2 with an RBI. Also Dena Looft was 1-3 with a home run and four RBIs, Allie Ingalls was 1-3 with a double, Harley Lindell was 1-2, Sara Johnson was 1-3 with an RBI and Jasmine Clausen was 1-3 with a triple and three RBIs.

Peyton Oleson earned the win in the second game. She pitched two innings with three strikeouts. Haag also pitched an inning and gave up two hits.

North Union again had 11 hits.

Tori Johnson was 3-3. Lindell was 1-1 with a home run and Looft was 2-2 with a home run and four RBIs.

Ingalls was 1-3 while Haag, Sara Johnson and Clausen each went 1-2 and Autumn Boland was 1-1.

North Union (18-0) hosted Okoboji in Swea City on Tuesday.

The Warriors host Spencer on Thursday.
