SPIRIT LAKE - The Spirit Lake softball team ended a six-year losing streak to Emmetsburg with a 3-2 victory on Monday.
Paige Krause sent a three-run home run over the center field fence for the Indians' runs.
Alissa Christoffer had two hits and scored a run.
Cara Vale picked up the victory, giving up two runs on two hits with two strikeouts.
Krause pitched the sixth inning and earned the save.
Spirit Lake, now 3-5 in conference play, hosted Spencer on Tuesday and travel to Cherokee today.
Indians win seventh straight
The Spirit Lake baseball team won its seventh straight game with an 8-2 win over Emmetsburg on Monday. The Indians jumped out to a 4-0 win in the first inning.
Spirit Lake (12-5 overall, 6-2 in the Lakes Conference) was on the road against Sibley-Ocheyedan on Tuesday. The Indians are at Cherokee today.
