MILFORD - The Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire Softball Team split its four games at the Okoboji Tournament held Thursday and Saturday.
On Thursday, the Knights won 8-7 over Sheldon and lost 11-1 in five innings to MOC-Floyd Valley.
Against the Orabs, Alyssa Hoffman pitched all seven innings and gave up seven runs (three earned) on seven hits with five strikeouts and three walks.
At the plate, the Knights had 10 hits led by Maddy Schany, who was 3-4. Morgan MacGrauth was 2-3 with a home run and two RBIs. Hoffman was 1-4. Nikki Brown, Morgan Matthews and Amanda Aeilts each went 1-3.
Hoffman also pitched five innings against the Dutch. She gave up 11 runs (four earned) on six hits with four strikeouts and three walks.
GT/RA had just two hits. Hoffman was 1-3 with a double and MacGrauth was 1-2.
On Saturday, the Knights won the rubber match with Okoboji 5-4. The two teams had split games played earlier in the season.
Hoffman was again on the mound. She gave up four runs (three earned) on 10 hits with two strikeouts and two walks.
GT/Ra had eight hits. MacGrauth was 2-3 with a triple and scored twice. Lauren Flaharty also was 2-3 and scored twice. Marly Bakken was 2-3 with a double and an RBI.
Hoffman was 1-4 and Matthews was 1-3.
Against South O'Brien, GT/RA lost 4-2 on Saturday.
Hoffman pitched seven innings and gave up four runs (three earned) on seven hits with five strikeouts and one walk.
GT/RA had four hits. Bakken was 1-2, Nikki Brown was 1-3 with a double and Grace Skattebo and Cassy Hampson also each were 1-3.
GT/RA hosted West Bend-Mallard in a doubleheader on Monday. The Knights host Sibley-Ocheyedan on Thursday.
