The Estherville Lincoln Central Baseball Team discovered its first-round opponent in Class 2A District 2 Baseball.
The Midgets (currently 11-13) will face Lakes Conference rival Emmetsburg at Emmetsburg in a 7 p.m. contest on Saturday, July 7.
North Union (21-6) receives a first-round bye and will play the winner at 7 p.m., July 10 in Emmetsburg.
On the bottom of the District 2 bracket, Okoboji plays Alta-Aurelia in a first-round game at 5 p.m. in Emmetsburg on July 7.
The winner will play Sioux Central at 5 p.m. in Emmetsburg on July 10.
The district championship will be played at 7 p.m., Saturday, July 14 in Emmetsburg.
The District 2 champion will play the District 1 champion in a substate game at 7 p.m., Saturday, July 17 at Spencer.
In Class 1A District 3, Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire opens tournament play against Newell-Fonda at 5 p.m., Saturday, July 10 at St. Mary's in Storm Lake. The winner will play St. Mary's of Storm Lake or Laurens-Marathon at 7 p.m., Monday, July 12.
The top half of the bracket is hosted by Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn. Sibley-Ocheyedan will face Clay Central-Everly in a play-in game on July 7. The winner faces South O'Brien on July 10.
Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn and Harris-Lake Park also play on July 10 with the district semifinal at 7 p.m., July 12 in Hartley.
The District 3 championship will be played at 7 p.m., Saturday, July 14 at Storm Lake High School.
