Don’t have to travel far to celebrate the Fourth

June 29, 2012
Estherville Daily News

Looking for fun on the Fourth this year?

As usual, you don't have to travel far to celebrate the holiday with family, friends and neighbors.

Estherville's Annual Fourth of July Flight Breakfast is one place you can go for a good meal and entertainment.

The Estherville Chamber of Commerce and other service organizations work together to make breakfast.

There's always the attraction of old and new aircraft with the opportunity to fly in the skies.

After breakfast, stay in Emmet County and meet other friends and neighbors at the annual Armstrong Fourth of July celebration. Don't miss the parade at 1 p.m.

Following the parade is a tribute to long-time Armstrong and Armstrong-Ringsted band director Gene Van Nest.

With several area talented musicians taking part in the tribute, it will be a time for good music and fun.
