Over the past couple years, the Neighborhood Artist Review has featured local artists in area banks and Little Swan Lake Winery, venues that have increased not only exposure for these artists, but also an appreciation of art in general by the public.
Sponsored by the Excel! Estherville Arts and Culture Committee, the Neighborhood Artist Review this month welcomes two artists from Rosewood Manor, Rev. Virgil Anderson and Alice Bradeen.
Both Virgil and Alice are well known for their work and volunteerism in the area. What the public may not know, however, is what talented artists they are. People can see their work this month at NorthStar Bank in Estherville.
Thanks need to go to NorthStar for providing the venue for these artists. It's yet one more example of how community-minded this bank really is.
Thanks also need to go to The Excel! Estherville Arts and Culture Committee, particularly Steve Danielson and Nancy Clark, for their tireless efforts to promote art in our area.
And if you haven't done so yet, be sure to check out the Downtown Market 5-7 p.m. every Thursday. Also a project of the Excel! Estherville Arts and Culture Committee and the Estherville Area Chamber of Commerce, the market offers a wealth of products and artwork that's rare for a community our size.
And be sure to visit the Neighborhood Artist Review to see the wonderful work by these talented artists.
