Paddle For The Cure, a canoe/kayak float with all proceeds going to Emmet County Relay or Life, will be held 1 p.m. Sunday. Participants are asked to meet at the swinging bridge in Estherville.
There's a $12 donation per person, which qualifies the first 50 participants to a free T-shirt.
A meal will follow the float. Both the T-shirts and meal are donated by the Emmet County Water Trail Association.
While river level in the West Des Moines is down from earlier levels, there's still a good current and participants are warned that they float at their own risk. Iowa law requires life jackets for anyone in any type of water craft.
