GRAND RAPIDS, Minn. - Mary Ann (Lehman) Wagner, age 82, died peacefully Monday, July 9, 2012, at Evergreen Terrace, with family at her side.
She was born Dec. 15, 1929 in Montgomery, Minn. Mary Ann graduated from Montgomery High School and attended Wartburg College, Waverly. She took home economics classes and earned her teaching qualifications in 1949, and taught third grade at Orchard Consolidated School, Orchard.
Mary Ann has lived the last seven years in Grand Rapids. Mary Ann was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church. During her life, she volunteered as a 4-H Leader and Cub Scout Leader. Mary Ann was a Home Extension Member and was active in Parent Teachers Organizations. Mary Ann loved teaching Bible Studies, writing, painting, knitting, sewing and many other crafts. Her favorite past times were reading and interacting with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed laughter and time spent with the Knit Wits.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and William Lehman; and her brothers, Carl and William Lehman.
Survivors include her husband, Robert A. Wagner, Grand Rapids; children, Reverend Robert (Kathleen) Wagner, Copperas Cove, Texas, Caryl (Frank) Dahn, Lake Mills, Mary (William) Schnell, Grand Rapids, Minn., Richard (Sara) Wagner, Burnsville, Minn. and Elizabeth (John) Simmer, St. Paul; grandchildren, Robert Wagner, LeAnn and Rebecca Dahn, Johanna and Laura Schnell, Jessica, Daniel and Grace Wagner, Eli and Lian Simmer.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Aug. 6 at Zion Lutheran Church, Grand Rapids. Relatives and friends are welcome.
