And what a surprise it was when dozens of motorcycles, all backers of the Shayla Bee Fund, drove up to wish Zander Nock well on his recovery Friday night at the Estherville Golf Course. Jerry Faulkner, who founded the Shayla Bee Fund in memory of his granddaughter who was part of his life before passing away at age six, presented a treasure trove of gifts to Zander — along with a check from the Shayla Bee fund to help with Zander’s medical expenses after his long, hard battle with MRSA this winter. At right (in the bee costume) is Lindsay Perez, Shayla’s mother.
