Every Sweet Corn Days since 2006, the Black Knights Car Club has put on one whale of a cruise-in and car show during Sweet Corn Days.
And this Saturday won't be any different.
The Black Knights will hold their monthly cruise-in starting at 5:30 p.m. Friday in Library Square on North Sixth Street. Look from some great cars from both members and nonmembers, some coming from surrounding states. They'll have a cruise on a special route starting at 7 p.m.
The Black Knights resume their Sweet Corn Days activities Saturday with the Sweet Corn Days Car Show. Registration will be from 10 a.m. to noon with awards at 3 p.m. Registration is just $10.
It's really amazing how much bigger the Black Knights Sweet Corn Days Car Show has gotten every year. The reason is that members take to the road and attend every car show and rally for several states around, publicizing the Sweet Corn Days event and the airport drags in September. And it's paid off, with more people coming from more places every year.
This Saturday's car show is a great chance for you to see a lot of unusual cars, both antique and classic.
And if you're an antique or classic car owner - or simply enjoy old cars - why not attend the next Black Knights Car Club meeting 7 p.m. the first Tuesday of every month at the Estherville VFW. You'll find it rewarding. Just about every meeting, members vote to donate to some worthy cause.
So come and see the cars. This Saturday from noon to 3 on North Sixth Street in Estherville.
