Over 100 students, coaches, and Estherville Lincoln Central Booster Club Board of Directors participated in the 12th annual membership drive on Wednesday.
Teams consisting of students, coaches, parents, and Booster Club Board of Directors canvassed residential and rural areas of the ELC School District soliciting memberships. The drive was a tremendous success with $27,106 collected thus far. Membership materials were left for those that were not at home.
According to ELC Booster Club Membership Committee Co-Chairs Nancy Johnson, Al Regelstad and Nancy Ford, "The drive is off to a great start. We want to thank the athletes, coaches, parents, the community and the Booster Club Board of Directors for their efforts and contributions in making last night's event such a winner for the Booster Club but more importantly for our student-athletes and coaches!"
This is just the beginning of the Booster Club's membership drive which is an ongoing endeavor each year.
The Booster Club has set a membership goal for this year of $40,000. All monies collected help the student-athletes by providing uniforms and equipment for all 15 boys and girls athletic programs, improving our athletic facilities, and promoting ELC athletics through various special projects.
Special thanks go out to Nancy Johnson, Nancy Ford and Al Regelstad for organizing this very successful event, as well as, the other board of directors, coaches, parents, and student-athletes that participated on Wednesday night.
Each year this event has grown because of the volunteer efforts of these people and with the generosity of the supporters of the ELC Athletic program.
Anyone that has not been contacted concerning their membership can call Jolene Lutz or Brad Leonard at the High School (362-7753) for membership information and the benefits associated with the various levels of giving.
