STORM LAKE - The Spirit Lake football team put up 372 yards of offense in a 52-14 victory over Storm Lake on Friday.
The Indian defense also caused four turnovers-three interceptions and a fumble.
Quarterback Paul Brown led the offense as he went 9-of-13 passing for 143 yards including two touchdowns. He also rushed for 15 yards on 11 carries for one touchdown.
Cody Pock also did well as he rushed for 95 yard and a touchdown on 11 carries. Poock also was 1-1 passing with a 34-yard touchdown to Casey Spaeth.
Andrew Ites caught three passes for 73 yards and a touchdown while Nick Amundson caught one pass for a 13-yard touchdown. JD Mitchell caught one pass for 8 yards.
Bryson McCabe rushed for 37 yards on five carries and Ites had 36 yards on four carries.
Defensively, Tanner Kroon had eight tackles including a sack. Poock also had seven tackles and a sack. Cody Norton had five tackles and a sack. Amundson, Zach Arneson and Brandon Stoll each snagged an interception. Stoll also recovered a fumble.
Spirit Lake (2-0 overall) is on the road against Forest City this Friday.
