North Union posts 4-1 record at Forest City

FOREST CITY - The North Union Volleyball Team had a great weekend at the Forest City Tournament, winning four of five matches.

The Warriors' lone loss was to Class 1A No. 11 Lake Mills, who is currently undefeated on the season.

The Bulldogs swept North Union 2-0 in that match. Madison Bollig led the way with four kills and two blocks. Allie Ingalls had seven set assists and six digs. Cheyanne Boland had seven digs.

North Union beat Webster City 2-1. Bollig and Jasmine Clausen each had five kills and Sara Johnson had four. Ingalls had 10 assists, seven digs and two blocks. Boland had 13 digs and Collete Haag had seven.

The Warriors defeated Spirit Lake 2-1. Bollig, Haag and Aurora Oliver each had six kills. Maike Weiser had 17 set assists. Boland had 12 digs and Oliver had three blocks. Bollig had nine kills against St. Ansgar, another match the Warriors won 2-1. Ingallss had 15 assists and Weiser had 11. Clausen had three ace serves.

North Union swept Boone. Bollig, Haag and Ingalls each had four kills. Ingalls also had nine assists and five digs while Weiser had eight assists. Boland had eight digs and Oliver had two blocks. Also Weiser had two ace serves.

North Union (16-12 overall) is on the road against Corwith-Wesley-Luverne on Thursday.
