A Gruver business was totaled by fire late Thursday evening.
According to Gruver Fire Chief Dan Harvey, the fire department was called to Bob's Body Shop at 203 Third St. just before 9 p.m. A passerby on?Highway 9 reported the flames.
Firefighters didn't have far to travel, as the building is located across the street to the north of the Gruver Fire Hall/Community Center/City Hall.

Residents of an apartment within the building escaped safely.
Harvey said firefighters were on scene until 4-4:30 Friday morning. They were called back later in the morning to put out some hot spots.
The Gruver fire chief said he doesn't know how the fire started.
