GRAETTINGER - The Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire Football Team heads from one district leader to another.
After last week's 69-8 loss to Newell-Fonda, the Titans host North Iowa this evening. The Bison's lone loss is a 34-20 defeat at the hands of Newell-Fonda.
GT/RA coach Todd Hough said North Iowa is a very physical team.
"They have a lot of upperclassman and their tailback is a big kid," he said. "They'll run, run, run at you and then throw in a play action.
"The big challenge for our defense is to stop the run and if they do pass, defend it," he continued.
The Bison (5-1 overall) are led by running back Frank Campos who has 564 yards and 10 touchdowns on 120 carries.
Quarterback Eric Krull has completed 51-of-94 passes for 8-3 yards with nine touchdowns and no interceptions. Krull also has 193 yards and three touchdowns on 48 carries.
The Titans' (1-5 overall) struggles this season have come with penalties and mental mistakes.
"We jut need to cut down on mistakes again," said Hough. "Last week Newell-Fonda jumped on us and their first play from scrimmage went for a touchdown."
