Oct. 21-27 is National Friends of Libraries Week, a great time to recognize those who help make our libraries better.
Anyone who thought that was an easy job can just think again. The people who serve on Friends of the Estherville Public Library Library Board bring the best of expertise to their positions.
n Lili Jensen, president.
n Bev Stump, vice-president.
n Donna Day-Templin, secretary/treasurer.
n Dave Howard, treasurer.
n Gerald Bradley.
n Tena Hanson, library director.
n Cheryl Houseman.
n Becky Domek.
n Mari Miller Burns.
n Kathy Graves.
These people represent the very best in educators, business people and other professionals whose sole purpose in serving on the
Friends Board is to ensure the best possible library services to patrons. And they are expertly served by Tena Hanson, library director, who is one of the most dedicated library professionals you can find.
When you look at the caliber and quality of this board of directors, you will see that it is as good as any similar board at any other library.
So the next time you see any of these fine people, thank them for their service. Tell them how much you appreciate their serving on the board. And, yes, if you have any suggestions for them, tell them.
Because they're more than willing to listen.
