BOONE - The Iowa Lakes Volleyball Team saw its season come to an end with at the Region XI semifinals on Tuesday.
The Lakers lost 25-23, 25-19, 25-21 to No. 10 Des Moines Area Community College.
Christy Wicks led the Lakers with 15 kills and two ace serves. Brandi DeMuth finished with nine kills and Dani Pettigrew had six.
Mariah Christian had 27 set assists.
Kiara Garcia contributed 23 digs and three ace serves.
Playing in her final match for the Lakers was Wicks, who was part of the 2011-12 team which placed fifth at the National Tournament.
Pettigrew, a sophomore transfer, also completed her one season with the Lakers.
Iowa Lakes finishes the season 13-30 overall and 4-5 in the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference.
