Dear Editor:
My apologies if I may have offended anyone with my recent letters to the editor. Opining on politics is obviously not my forte. As God seemed to speak to me in a dram last night, I'm having a midlife crisis. I was never meant to be a dispenser of political advice. As an Episcopal Priest friend of mine encouraged me once while stomping down her foot-"write poetry!"
I see where ILCC has a continuing Ed2go class entitled Pleasures of Poetry. For a mere $95 it's possible to take online courses for about six weeks. I think my "plan of attack" so far as becoming a published and well-known writer will be to keep repeating the class ad nauseum and submitting my poems to various publications.
Beginning with this poem right here in this my favorite "rag." God bless.
God's In Us?!
I don't see God in you.
Neither do I see you
Like me, I see
A depleted soul
In search
Of a
Spirit-filled
Manifestation.
We fathom
Stars yet
Rarely see
Him about us
The one who
Taught, healed
And died
Who lives ALIVE!?!
Sincerely
Carolyn A. Moe, Estherville
