FORT DODGE - The Iowa Lakes wrestlers won four matches against Iowa Central while losing 24-16 to the sixth-ranked Tritons on Wednesday.
"For the most part I thought we wrestled well," said Iowa Lakes coach Cody Alesch. "We had a few matches were we did not perform well at all and those guys know who they are. We have got to pick up our intensity as we move forward."
The Lakers first win of the night came at 149 pounds as Alex Anderson won 7-1 over Kris Lehman.
At 165 pounds, Nate Lawrence edged Dillon Geoghegan 6-5. Brother Nick Lawrence followed with the only pin of the night, defeating Billy Behle in 4 minutes, 30 seconds.
And at 184 pounds, Ethan Lindquist won a 9-0 major decision over Joe Stanton.
In other matches, Dustin Horn (125) lost a 15-5 major decision to Tristan Bundy. Dylan Koechne (133) lost 11-9 in overtime to Tyler Reiste.

"The guys fought hard in several occasions where we have not earlier in the season so it was good to see us moving in the right direction," said Alesch. "We had our opportunities but did not seize them like we needed to against a good team like Iowa Central."
The Lakers travel to the Simpson Invitation on Saturday. Their final scheduled home meet is Wednesday, Dec. 5 vs. Iowa Western at 7 p.m.
