December 3, 2012
By David Swartz - Managing Editor , Estherville Daily News

The Estherville City Council didn't take long to address Monday's short agenda.

After a public hearing, council approved the sale of excess city property.

Last month, the city had received bids from property located at 533 S. Ninth St and 409 S. Seventh St.

The resolution passed by council gives approval to the bid of $1,00 received by Roger Johnson for the property on Ninth Street and the bid of $513 received by Stuart and Linda Johnson for the property on Seventh Street.

In other business council approved the partial residential property tax exemption for Kevin Woodley as defined in the city's urban revitalization plan. The plan allows for the first $75,000 of valuation of house new construction to be exempted for five years.

Council also approved the awning/sign permit for Hoyer Chiropractic located at 9 N. Sixth St.
