The Iowa Lakes women came up with a pair of victories this past weekend, defeating Fort Scott Community College 55-48 on Friday and Northwest Kansas Technical College 58-50 on Saturday.
Against Fort Scott, Sunday Duop led the Lakers with 16 points while Leah Courtney finished with 13. Shabreka Edwards and Alyssa Winston each finished with nine, Noelle Kindred had four and Ashleigh Dykes and Daria Jones each had two.
Against Northwest Kansas, Courtney finished with a team-high 14 points and 10 rebounds. Carla Barrera and Myangel Johnson each came off the bench to score 10 points, Duop finished with nine points while Winston had eight, Edwards had four and Dykes had three.
Iowa Lakes (3-7 overall) is on the road against Minnesota West Community and Tech College on Wednesday. Game time is 6 p.m.
