STORM LAKE - St. Mary's of Storm Lake stormed ahead of Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire and then put the game away in the third quarter for an 82-41 on Tuesday.
The Titans trailed 26-10 after one quarter with the hosts taking a 38-20 lead at halftime. St. Mary's then put the pressure on again in the third quarter, outscoring the Titans 33-10 to lead 71-30.
"Even though the score was lopsided, the boys played hard and handled Storm Lake St. Mary's pressure well," said GTRA coach Randy Hough. "Storm Lake St. Mary's is a very good, well balanced ball club.
Connor Sturgill led the Titans with 13 points, six rebounds and two blocked shots. Austin Dyer finished with eight points, four assists, two steals and a blocked shot. Trevor Hagedorn contributed five points and six rebounds.
Marcus Girres finished with six points while Andy Geelan, Michael Girres and Lane Reiman each had three.
Luke Lenhart and Kennedy Drey led St. Mary's with 24 points apiece.
GTRA (1-3 overall) is on the road against North Union in Armstrong on Friday.
