EVERLY - The North Union boys earned their first win of the season with a 69-31 victory over Clay Central-Everly on Tuesday. Matt Adams and Colton McConnell led the Warriors with 11 points each while Aric Runge and Jacob Braddock each had 10.
North Union led 15-13 after one quarter and pulled away to a 30-17 lead at halftime and 56-29 after three quarters.
Corey Vaske finished with six points while Tyson Umscheid and Shane Mills each had four and Jacob Govern, Colin Runksmeier and Alex Krantz each had two. Mills had a team-high six rebounds while Adams had six steals. Runge had two blocked shots and Braddock had four steals and two assists.
North Union (1-6) is on the road against Manson-Northwest Webster on Thursday.
