CHEROKEE - The Spirit Lake wrestlers improved to 4-0 in the Lakes Conference with wins over Cherokee and LeMars on Thursday.
The Indians defeated the Braves 48-36 and the Bulldogs 54-40.
All contested matches between the Indians and Cherokee were decided by pin.
Doug Miner (126) won in 1:59 over Hunter Morrow; Zack Skopec (138) won in 1:27 over Andy Pitts; David Trucksess (152) won in 3:15 over Blake Booth; Javier Tapia (170) won in 3:21 over Derek Bechtel and Brady Mart (195) won in 41 seconds over Skylar Mongan.
In other matches, Gage Roberts (106) lost by fall in 31 seconds to Drake Bechtal; Ben Parks (132) lost by fall in 1:50 to Christian Lundy; Justin Jones 9160) lost by fall in 2:34 to Luke Zeimen and Cody Wernimont (220) lost by fall in 28 seconds to Dallas Boger.
Kenten Murray received a forfeit at 145 pounds and Spirit Lake forfeited at heavyweight.
Against LeMars, all matches were again decided by fall.
Miner (120) won in 23 seconds over Tyler Carlson; Ethan Bergendahl (132) won in 5:06 over Seth Courtright; Skopec (138) won in 47 seconds over Skyler Gries; Murray (145) won in 1:35 over Luke DeBoer; Trucksess (152) won in 2:36 over Chris Haman; Jones 9160) won in 2:40 over Treavor Mullally; and Mart (195) won in 35 seconds over Alex Hermes.
In other matches, Roberts (106) lost by fall in 5:09 to Nic Madsen; John O'Neal (113) lost in 1:46 to Donny Allaway; Parks (126) lost in 2:45 to Mason Weiler and Wernimont (220) lost in 39 seconds to Alex Hermes.
Tapia received a forfeit at 170 pounds and the Indians again forfeited at heavyweight.
Spirit Lake is at a two-day Minnesota Christmas Tournament today and Saturday.
