The Estherville Area Chamber of Commerce and Estherville Industrial Development Corporation's annual banquet is quickly approaching.
Held annually, the annual banquet is the Chamber and EIDC's chance to recognize key members of the community and celebrate Estherville's achievements. The banquet will be held at the VFW on Thursday, Jan. 17 starting at 5:30 p.m. A social hour is first held, followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. Awards will be given out to recognize the citizen and business who have made their mark in 2012.
Following the dinner is a live auction, auctioneered by Mike Clarken of Clarken Realty, and a silent auction is also ongoing during the evening. All items in both auctions have been generously donated by local businesses and organizations.
"The annual banquet is our biggest event of the year for the business community," said Stephanie Neppl, executive director of the Chamber. "We look forward to having a fun night honoring those who have made a big difference in the Estherville area in the past year as well as the area's achievements."
The evening also includes a raffle, and this year the Chamber has been selling raffle tickets for the new iPad4.
The lucky winner's name will be drawn during the annual banquet, and the prize also includes $200 in accessories and a one-on-one lesson for the winner. Tickets are still on sale and can be purchased at the Chamber office at 620 First Ave. S.
The public is welcome to attend the annual banquet.
Tickets are $20 each, and can be purchased at the Chamber office or through the www.estherville.org.
