ALTA - The Estherville Lincoln Central wrestlers split a pair of duals in Alta on Tuesday, defeating Pocahontas Area 48-32 and losing 44-27 to host Alta-Aurelia.
The Midgets had nine contested matches against Pocahontas and won six of them.
Cole Budach (120) pinned Dameon Doyen in 43 seconds; Oscar Ramirez (132) pinned Connor Schoening in 1:26; Thomas Bortvit (138) pinned Nathan Kulp in 3:21; Blake Gjerde won a 1- major decision over Daniel Sommerlot; Billy Snyder (152) won an 11-3 major decision over Tyler Hubrich and Grant Lausen (160) pinned Matt Lenz in 2:48.
In other contested matches, Easton Gifford (106) lost by fall in 3:03 to Joe Minkler; Jake Bortvit (170) lost by fall in 5:41 to Tyler Case and Chase Bonner (220) lost by fall in 3 minutes to Jeremy Watson.
ELC forfeited at 113, 126, 182, 195 and 285.

Gifford 9106) pinned Colton Larson in 48 seconds; Gjerde (145) pinned Junior Molina in 4 minutes; Snyder (152) won by technical fall, 19-4, over Dylan Ohlson and Lausen (160) won 7-5 over Manuel Murillo.
At 138, Thomas Bortvit lost by 14-9 to Cody Cameron and Jake Bortvit (170) lost by fall in 27 seconds to Jackson Rosenthal while Bonner (220) lost by fall in 1:36 to Garrett Van Houten.
Joel McCoy (113), Budach (120), Alex Molacek (126) and Ramirez (132) all received forfeits for ELC while the Midgets forfeited a 195 and 285.
ELC hosts Emmetsburg and LeMars on Thursday.
