LAKE MILLS - After falling behind 20-4 in the first quarter, the Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire girls rallied to defeat Lake Mills 56-51 on Saturday.
"I really compliment the girls for not giving up after we got in such a big hole right away," said GTRA coach Todd Hough. "We also had some girls step up and make some plays for us toward the end of the game when we needed them to hang on to our lead."
The rally started in the second quarter as the Titans outscored the Bulldogs 20-7 to get within three points at the break, 27-24.
GTRA then went out and won the second half and took a 42-40 lead into the final period.
Grace Skattebo led the Titans with 14 points, six rebounds and four steals.
Brooke Hoffman finished with 10 points, five rebounds and three assists. Lauren Flaharty had nine points while Cassy Hampson had eight points and three assists. Alex Oleson, Emily Moran and Marly Bakken each had four points and Morgan McGrauth had three points. Bakken had seven rebounds and McGrauth had five steals.
GTRA (6-12 overall, 3-5 in the conference) is at Harris-Lake Park on Friday.
