Ronald James Kelly (Butch) passed from this life on Monday, Jan. 28, 2013.
Ronald was born Sept. 1, 1942, at Swea City.
He was the youngest son of Bertha and Everett Kelly Sr.
Ronald lived his entire life in the Swea City, Armstrong area.
At the age of about six Butch experienced learning problems while attending the Armstrong school system. At the Mayo Clinic he was diagnosed with disabilities caused from polio.
At that time in history there was no place where Butch fit to receive special education needs so he grew up learning from the environment around him.
Butch worked at various physical jobs for farmers, junk dealers and doing whatever he was capable of doing.
If you were a friend of Butch's you were a friend indeed. He placed a very high value on his friends.
To those of the community, church and all who befriended him with help or a kind word, we give a special thank you.
Butch is preceded in death by his parents Bertha and Everett Kelly Sr., brother Everett Jr. and sister Kathleen Marie.
He is survived by two brothers, Robert Kelly of Byron, Minn. and William Kelly of Eau Claire, Wis.
Butch was a believer and we trust we will see him in Heaven where he will have no disabilities.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
