Age 85, of Omaha, Nebraska; was born in Ringsted, Iowa to Philip and Dorothy (Gaylord) Underwood. He was vice president of operations for Pamida. Preceded in death by wife of 60 years, Charlotte Julianne Underwood, and daughter, Jacqueline Sue Underwood.

Survived by three children: Janet Burnham (Keith), Jim Underwood (Karen), and Jerry Underwood; grandchildren: Jerry Underwood Jr. (Carri), Matthew Burnham, Kristopher Burnham (Ember), Jodi Underwood, and Kimberly Burnham; 5 great-grandchildren: Jack, Mary, and Kate Underwood, Parker and Pierce Burnham.
The family received friends Sunday, Feb. 3, from 3-5 p.m. at the West Center Chapel of Heafey-Hoffmann-Dworak-Cutler in Omaha. SERVICES were held Monday, Feb. 4 at 10 a.m. at Presbyterian Church of the Cross, 1517 S. 114 St. in Omaha. Interment, Forest Lawn Memorial Park with military rites by Millard American Legion Post 374 and VFW Post 8334. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be directed by the family.
