Avera Holy Family of Estherville Thursday welcomed another medical staff member with the open house for Chelsea Richardson, a new physician's assistant.
Originally from McPherson, Kan., Richardson received her master's of physician assistant studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha in December.
"I hope to be doing a little bit of everything," said Richardson. "I hope to see a wide variety of patients and a wide variety of conditions."
The only physician's assistant at the clinic, Richardson started Jan. 21 and began seeing patients this Tuesday.
Richardson's husband, Michael, holds a master's degree in organic chemistry.
