On Monday, Feb. 11, Estherville Good Samaritan Society held its annual Couples Valentine Luncheon with seven couples enjoying a wonderful romanic dinner complete with personal wait service, a sparkling toast and a framed photo as a memento.
Members of local homeschool families assisted with the dinner, and the Midweek/Catechism youth of Immanuel Lutheran decorated and donated picture frames for the event.
Altogether, 363.5 years of marriage were represented by the attending couples . . . real-life models of what the words "for better or for worse, in sickness and in health", really mean.
Ben and Martha Haigh took time for a photo under the ballon arch during the Couples Valentine Luncheon at the Good Samaritan Center on Monday.
