Estherville Lincoln Central wrestling fans cheered Oscar Ramirez’ victory at 132 pounds at the Class 2A District Tournament in Spencer on Saturday as the ELC junior avenged his only loss of the season by pinning Spencer’s Levi Gilmore. Ramirez, ranked fifth in Class 2A, along with teammate Blake Gjerde and the rest of the Midget fans head to Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines on Thursday for the state wrestling tournament. Meanwhile ELC girls basketball fans head to Algona this season as the Class 3A, third-ranked Midgets take on Hampton-Dumont.
