HULL - The third time wasn't quite the charm for Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire as the Titans lost 52-38 to Trinity Christian in the first round of the Class 1A playoffs last Thursday.
The Titans, who had lost two regular season meetings to Trinity, kept the game close for most of the night, trailing 14-13 after one quarter, 29-23 at halftime and 39-32 to start the fourth quarter.
But GT/RA managed just six points in the final frame.
Austin Dyer and Connor Stugill led the Titans with 12 points apiece. Sturgill had 16 rebounds while Dyer finished with four assists. Marcus Girres had five points, Andy Geelan had three and Mason McGrauth and Trevor Hagedorn each had two. Geelan had six assists and McGrauth had three.
Dyer and Hagedorn both were seniors playing in their final game.
GT/RA finishes the season with an 8-14 record.
