Local organizations, churches and clubs are encouraged to use the new online community calendar on the estherville.org website.
The calendar was launched in September by the Estherville Area Chamber of Commerce and Excel! Estherville. It was a priority for both organizations to provide a one-stop calendar for those looking for something to do as well as those wanting to schedule an event without conflicting with other similar events.
Anyone running an event or fundraiser in Estherville or Emmet County is urged to look at the events calendar when considering a specific date to avoid conflicts. All are also encouraged to submit their events as soon as they are scheduled to assist others who are planning an event.
"We are very pleased with the usage of the events calendar," said Stephanie Neppl, executive director of the Estherville Area Chamber of Commerce. "We are getting many events submitted and the views to the calendar continue to increase."
