FAIRMONT, Minn. - A Ceylon woman was killed Wednesday afternoon in a head-on collision west of Fairmont, Minn.
The Martin County Sheriff's Office said the accident occurred around 3:20 p.m. on County Road 26. Authorities say Linda Hoppe, 65, of Ceylon, lost control of her vehicle on the highway and collided with a vehicle driven by Ryan Johnson, 31, of Fairmont, Minn.
Hoppe was pronounced dead at the scene.
Johnson was transported to Mayo Health Hospital in Fairmont and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
